Seven wooden houses built in the 1920s were restored to their former glory in the summer of 2025, when V\u00e4riset painted the building facades. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Tampere rental housing renovation project manager Sami Uusiniemi says the wooden houses at Kalevan puistotie 9 were badly in need of painting. If the painting had been postponed, a larger exterior cladding renovation would have been at risk. <\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;The paint surface was already quite poor on several houses. Now it had to be saved\u2014the next option would have been replacing the wooden facades.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p>Because the exterior painting was done now, the wooden parts didn&#8217;t need extensive replacement\u2014replacing damaged wooden sections was enough.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expertise Convinced<br\/><\/h2>\n\n<p>The project started with a competitive bidding process for painting companies. The houses were washed and the poor paint surface was scraped off.
