The work was professional and the result stunning. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video-embed-wrapper\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UOd2slDk_Lw?feature=oembed\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The cottage&#8217;s condition was a concern<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>For a few years, the Iham\u00e4kis had watched as the cottage&#8217;s exterior surfaces began to wear and mold spots appeared on the wood. &#8220;<em>At first I wondered if the whole cottage was moldy, but fortunately it wasn&#8217;t<\/em>&#8220;, Anni says with relief.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-825e9fbc wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/variset.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/im1-scaled.jpg ,https:\/\/variset.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/im1-scaled-1.jpg 780w, https:\/\/variset.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/im1-scaled-1.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 150px\" src=\"https:\/\/variset.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/im1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"uag-image-282490\" width=\"5731\" height=\"3821\" title=\"im1\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>The Iham\u00e4kis considered painting the cottage themselves, but the thought of such a huge task with small children felt overwhelming. &#8220;<em>If we had done this ourselves, would it have taken the whole summer or five summers?<\/em>&#8221; Anni laughs.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Professionals got the job done in a week<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>When M\u00e4kil\u00e4hde&#8217;s Juuso recommended V\u00e4riset&#8217;s painting service, Anni and Ilkka decided to take a closer look at the company. &#8220;<em>I checked out V\u00e4riset&#8217;s Instagram account, and there were such great-looking projects that the choice was easy<\/em>&#8220;, Ilkka says. <\/p>\n\n<p>The V\u00e4riset team arrived at the cottage as agreed and completed the work quickly. In a week, the cottage got a completely new paint finish, and the rotten boards were also replaced. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&#8220;Thank goodness professionals handled it!&#8221;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>A big plus was the constant communication. &#8220;<em>We had a shared WhatsApp group where the work crew posted photos and updates on the progress.
