VIDEO: Paula Noronen’s Summer Cottage Transformation – “Like a smoke sauna!”

Paula Noronen’s summer place got a new look from Väriset’s painters’ brushes in May 2022. The paint surface of the twenty-year-old building, which had seen life, changed color in one go as brown was replaced with a stylish dark shade.

“No cottage and no dog”

Paula Noronen’s summer cottage is located an hour and a half from Helsinki. The peace of the summer place is enjoyed by the family as well as relatives and friends.

“It’s so easy and quick to get here after all. All kinds of people hang out here.”

However, a summer cottage has not always been Paula’s dream.

“I’ve always been of the opinion that no cottage and no dog. Now I have both, and I think they’ve been the best purchases I’ve ever made.”

At Paula’s cottage, you can do whatever you like, and there’s no ban on working either. Paula has even written her Supermarsu books at the cottage, among other things.

Painting the cottage was clearly in order now. The paint surface of the cottage built in the early 2000s already had plenty of black spots and wear here and there.

Paula requested quotes for the painting work from several companies in the field. Trust in Väriset was strengthened by the fact that Paula’s friend had also used the company’s service.

Based on test paintings, Tikkurila’s Piki was chosen as the new color. The cottage’s appearance straightened up before their eyes as the painters applied the color to the walls.

“Like a smoke sauna!”

Seeing the building in its new color for the first time is always exciting.

“We were really excited to come here.”

Paula praises the WhatsApp group between the painters and the customer, where the painters update the progress of the work.

“The painters sent videos and information about how the job was progressing. You knew a bit what to expect.”

“I was most nervous about the color shade. When we arrived in the yard, I remember saying that the house is like a smoke sauna, that it looks great! It turned out perfectly.”

The twenty-year-old cottage has now received a new look and a protective coating for the exterior cladding. At the same time, the wooden surfaces of the terrace were also treated.

“This looks completely new now. This is really beautiful!”
