“Wow, what happened here?” – Anni and Ilkka Ihamäki’s cottage got a stunning new look

When Anni and Ilkka Ihamäki returned to their freshly painted summer cottage, they were amazed: “Wow, what happened here?” was their first thought. The work was professional and the result stunning.

The cottage’s condition was a concern

For a few years, the Ihamäkis had watched as the cottage’s exterior surfaces began to wear and mold spots appeared on the wood. “At first I wondered if the whole cottage was moldy, but fortunately it wasn’t“, Anni says with relief.

The Ihamäkis considered painting the cottage themselves, but the thought of such a huge task with small children felt overwhelming. “If we had done this ourselves, would it have taken the whole summer or five summers?” Anni laughs.

Professionals got the job done in a week

When Mäkilähde’s Juuso recommended Väriset’s painting service, Anni and Ilkka decided to take a closer look at the company. “I checked out Väriset’s Instagram account, and there were such great-looking projects that the choice was easy“, Ilkka says.

The Väriset team arrived at the cottage as agreed and completed the work quickly. In a week, the cottage got a completely new paint finish, and the rotten boards were also replaced.

“Thank goodness professionals handled it!”

A big plus was the constant communication. “We had a shared WhatsApp group where the work crew posted photos and updates on the progress. It was really nice because we could see in real time what was happening here, and we didn’t have to come to the property ourselves to check“, the couple says with satisfaction.

Now summer can truly be enjoyed

After the painting project, Anni and Ilkka can spend their summer relaxing. “Now our summer plans include heating the sauna, grilling, and going to the blueberry forest!”
