“You can only tip your hat” – Painting of tile roofs in a housing company in Kirkkonummi

In a housing company consisting of six detached houses in Kirkkonummi, it was time to assess the condition of the tile roofs that had served for 30 years.

As Oy Jolkbynpuisto board chairman Eero Karttunen says that the project started with a roof condition survey.

“We had an external consultant do a condition assessment and got some good tips from it. Based on that, we moved forward.”

The tender was won by Väriset Oy, which carried out the coating of the tile roofs at the turn of July and August 2025.

The painting work took place during one of the hottest periods of the summer.

According to Karttunen, the work went as planned. The worn tile roofs got a completely new look.

“The first house is particularly close to the forest, it had the most vegetation on the roof, but everything came off from there too and it cleaned up really nicely. Got a new color and a tile roof that looks like new there too.”
