Väriset Painted Designtalo at the Lempäälä Housing Fair

The 2026 Summer Housing Fair will be held in Saikka, Lempäälä, from July 10 to August 9, 2026. One of the fair’s properties is Designtalo, whose exterior painting was handled by Väriset. We visited to see the final result about a month after the painting project was completed, together with Juuso Sajakoski, who built the house.

The Previous House Was Painted Ourselves, the Next One Was Given to a Professional

Juuso Sajakoski built a house with his family at the Saikka fair area and serves as the Designtalo representative for the property. When it came to exterior painting, the decision was clear this time even before the project began.

“The previous house was painted ourselves, so to speak. At that point, we decided that the next house would be painted by a professional,” Sajakoski says.

Several options were considered when selecting a painting company.

“We went through a few companies, but Väriset had such a good reputation, workmanship, and references that it was ultimately an easy decision.”

Clear Plan at the Start, No Surprises Along the Way

A month after the painting was completed, there are no complaints.

“Everything is as it should be and as agreed. Beautifully done. We had a very clear plan from the start about how the house would be painted, so we hardly needed to reconsider things along the way.”

Sajakoski particularly highlights reliability: the agreed-upon matters held throughout the entire project.

“Both sides were on the same page. That certainty and trust that when certain things are agreed upon, they will be kept, was important to me. Whether it was the painting project or pricing, they held up really well.”

A Painter’s Critical Eye Is the Customer’s Advantage

Kenneth Salin, the Väriset painter who painted the property, says he evaluates his own painting work carefully.

“Usually, if I’m satisfied myself, being really critical of my own paint finish, then the customer certainly is too. The best highlights of the summer are those moments when you get praise from the customer and know you’ve succeeded in the project,” Salin says.

For the Sajakoski family, the completion of the project means one step closer to everyday life in their new home.

“Now we can gradually start moving in here.”
